Poland’s Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP) is organising the Security Research Conference in Warsaw at the end of September.

The annual conference is co-financed by the European Commission, and is always held by the country presiding over the EU Council presidency. The security conferences have been held since the first meeting in Vienna in 2006.

During this year’s sixth Security Research Conference, policy makers, researchers, industry representatives and consumers from across Europe will meet to debate about legal, technological and organisational issues, as well as challenges related to public safety and security.

The conference expects over 1,000 participants from across Europe, including representatives from the European Parliament, Commission, and the Polish parliament.

Polish Radio External Service – of which thenews.pl is a part – is one of the event’s media partners. More information on the conference can be found here. (jb)
