President Komorowski sends condolences after Belgian coach crash kills 28

Poland’s president Bronislaw Komorowski has sent King of Belgium Albert II condolences after the Belgian coach crash in Switzerland which killed 28 people, mostly children.

"It is with great sadness we receive the news of the tragic accident […] which resulted in lost lives and injured many people," President Komorowski says in his letter of condolence.
The bus, carrying a Belgian school party home from a ski trip, crashed into the wall of a tunnel in Switzerland late on Tuesday.
"On behalf of the Polish nation, I offer our deepest sympathy to all affected by this tragedy and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” Komorowski writes.
“I assure you that in these painful moments, we are mourning with the families and relatives of the victims,” he continues.
The bus, transporting 52 people, mostly children aged about 12 from the towns of Lommel and Heverlee in Belgium's Dutch-speaking Flanders region, crashed in the Swiss canton of Valais at 9:15 p.m.(2015 GMT), Reuters reports.
“It is a sad day for all of Belgium," Belgian Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo said in a statement expressing his "great horror". (pg)
