Speaker Kopacz awarded the athletes diplomas and grants in thanks for their achievement, which bettered Poland's able-bodied squad, who had another poor Olympic games this year.
Meanwhile, on International Day of People with Disability, the European Commission (EC) has called for more services to be put on line, so as to improve access for the disabled.
In a directive issued by the EC, the public sector must improve accessibility of their websites and introduce mandatory EU standardised accessibility features, from the end of 2015, for 12 types of websites, including social security and health related services, job searches and university applications.
December 3 was declared International Day of People with Disability by the United Nations in 1992. (pg)
