Marian Andrzejak (23) had allegedly been cultivating plants worth an estimated EUR 115,000.
Defence lawyer insisted in court on Wednesday morning that his client speaks no English and that an interpreter should be called, thus adjourning the hearing until the afternoon.
Besides plants and a quantity of marijuana ready for consumption, heating and lighting equipment were found at the site of Monday's raid near the village of Athlacca.
Four separate charges have been brought against the 23-year-old, and the charge of possession of marijuana for sale or supply alone carries a minimum sentence of ten years imprisonment. (nh)
