President Duda and NATO chief discuss upcoming Warsaw summit

                    Polish President Andrzej Duda discussed the upcoming NATO summit in Warsaw with the Alliance's Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg over the phone on Thursday.

                         Duda and Stoltenberg “gave a positive assessment of the preparations of the summit,” said Krzysztof Szczerski, a senior aide to the Polish president.
He added that the conversation lasted around 45 minutes and was held at the initiative of the NATO Secretary General.
"[The conversation] was part of the last consultation before the arrival of the secretary general of the Alliance in Poland," Szczerski said.
The NATO summit in the Polish capital will be chaired by Stoltenberg, and will be held on 8-9 July.
It will bring together heads of state and government of 28 member countries, including US President Barack Obama. The main gathering will be held at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw. (rg/pk)
