“We have to join forces and work together against military propaganda, which seeks to spread disinformation,” Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski told a journalist workshop aimed at countering disinformation and propaganda.
“Passive observation of how the boundaries between peace and war are being blurred may be very costly,” he added. “For many years we thought that 50 years of communism and before that fascism made us immune to propaganda.”
Speaking at the same workshop, Defence Minister Antoni Macierewicz said: “The foundation to counteract disinformation is the truth and freedom in investigating it. First the facts, then their interpretation”.
The workshop was attended by guests from the US, Latvia, Finland, Ukraine.
