He is to discuss security in the region and cooperation within the framework of international organisations with his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida.
They are also to sign a Plan of Action for 2017-2020 aimed at implementing the Polish-Japanese strategic partnership which was initiated in 2015.
On Friday, Waszczykowski is set to meet Crown Prince of Japan Naruhito. They are to discuss cultural cooperation and the forthcoming centenary of Polish-Japanese diplomatic relations to be marked in 2019.
On his visit, Waszczykowski is accompanied by a sizeable business delegation representing Poland’s innovative companies in the fields of banking, electromobility and computer games. They will take part in a wide range of seminars and study tours. (mk/rg)
