The meeting will be held in the V4+NB8 format – four Visegrad Group countries and eight Nordic and Baltic states – and will be co-hosted by Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski, and his Norwegian counterpart Borge Brende.
The foreign ministers of Hungary, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, and deputy foreign ministers of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Denmark, as well as the Director-General for Political Affairs at the Swedish foreign ministry will also attend the meeting in Sopot.
“The participants will discuss ways to intensify cooperation in such areas as security, eastern policy, the future of the European Union, also in the context of Brexit and its impact on the future institutions of the EU, and regional energy and infrastructure projects,” a spokesman for the Polish foreign ministry said.
