The decision, announced by the European Commission, will allow Gazprom to avoid massive potential fines for monopolistic practices, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.
European Union anti-trust regulators ended their probe after Gazprom agreed to reforms aimed at cutting gas prices, according to reports.
Poland previously voiced dissatisfaction following reports that the Russian company would escape penalties.
Gazprom supplies a third of the EU’s gas.
