The audience, which was to start at 10am, was to be Morawiecki’s first with the leader of the world’s Roman Catholics, according to Poland’s onet.pl news website.
Morawiecki was later to lay flowers at the grave of the late Polish-born Pope John Paul II in the Vatican basilica, onet.pl added.
Morawiecki on Sunday met his Lithuanian counterpart Saulius Skvernelis at the Orlen Lietuva refinery in Mažeikiai, north-western Lithuania, before heading to Estonia for ceremonies marking that country regaining independence 100 years ago.
Polish President Andrzej Duda appointed a new government headed by Morawiecki in December.
