Czaputowicz talked to Macron on the sidelines of a United Nations Security Council meeting in New York this week.
"I confirmed an invitation to President Macron from [Polish] President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to pay a visit to Poland. This is an open invitation and we would like this visit to take place," Czaputowicz told private broadcaster Polsat.
"There is the will, I think [on President Macron’s part] to visit Poland, although it is too early to talk about particulars,” added Czaputowicz.
A spat between Paris and Warsaw erupted last year after Macron criticised the policies of Poland’s ruling conservatives.
Senior Polish officials later voiced hope of a “new opening” in bilateral relations.
