The Polish president’s chief of staff, Krzysztof Szczerski, said Wałęsa had asked to fly on the same plane as Duda and the latter had agreed.
Szczerski added that the flight from Warsaw to Washington would take off on Tuesday evening.
Wałęsa was the leader of the Solidarity trade union movement, which helped bring down the communist regime in Poland in 1989.
Wałęsa became Polish president in 1990, holding the post until 1995.
US President Donald Trump has declared Wednesday a national day of mourning in America in Bush's honour.
George H.W. Bush was US president from 1989 to 1993. He died late on Friday, aged 94.
His state funeral is due to take place at the Washington National Cathedral.
