Delaying Brexit could be a good solution, the Polish foreign minister has said at a meeting of his EU counterparts in Luxembourg.

“All expectations need to be addressed and a chance given to British society, the political class and the parliament to be able to establish a position,” Poland’s Jacek Czaputowicz said while speaking at an EU Foreign Affairs Council gathering on Monday.
“If [British Prime Minister] Theresa May does not gain approval in this internal, political process, then extending Brexit is a good solution,” he added.
EU leaders are expected to decide on Wednesday whether to grant May, who has asked for a postponement until June 30, a further delay to Britain leaving the bloc. The decision can be vetoed by any of the other 27 EU member states.
Around 1 million Poles live in the UK, constituting that country’s largest minority community.
