“Please be assured of our solidarity during these tragic days. We shall always remember the victims of this terrible attack,” wrote Prime Minister Tusk.

On behalf of President Bronisław Komorowski, who is now on an official visit to the Caucasus, the book of condolences was signed by head of the Presidential Office Jacek Michałowski.

A special telegram of condolences has been sent by the head of the Roman Catholic church in Poland, Primate Józef Kowalczyk.

Poles have been leaving candles and flowers in front of the Embassy in memory of the 76 victims of the double terrorist attack in Oslo and Utoya last week.

Poland's Internal Security Agency said Tuesday that they are investigating a Polish chemist after he admitted supplying chemicals to Breivik.

Investigators said that the chemist, who sold items to the Norwegain via the internet, could be charged with "unauthorized possession [...] and trade in substances that could be potentially dangerous to the life and health of many people."

Keten Chemicals, the online company based in Wroclaw in southwestern Poland, told Associated Press yesterday that they had supplied Breivik with the chemicals, but said in all their email contact the Norwegian appeared to be a normal businessman. (pg/ek)
