Polish goat wins Edinburgh first

Poland’s Song of the Goat Theatre has won Fringe First for the most innovative production at the Edinburgh International Festival.
The award given by The Scotsman newspaper is among the most prestigious theatre awards in Europe.
The company’s ‘Song of Lear’ depicts the world of subtle energies and rhythms that govern Shapeskeare’s tragedy.
The production involves crucial scenes from ‘King Lear’presented in words, gestures and music, each song being a starting point for another ‘dramatic poem’.
The Song of the Goat Theatre also received the Special Prize of Music Theatre and the ‘Herald’s Archangel’ from the daily
