Poles spend more than a week of Xmas preparations

A new CBOS survey indicates that only nine percent of Polish residents procrastinate until the last moment to prepare for Christmas.

For the biggest slice of the pie, 36 percent, preparations last one week, while slightly less, 33 percent, prepare for two weeks.
The Christian celebration is a holiday that primarily emphasises family, according to 54 percent of those surveyed, whereas 23 percent stress the religious aspect.
A mere one percent has indicated that they do not celebrate the Christian tradition.
A total of 989 residents of Poland were surveyed on 3-10 December. (ua/rg)
