Warsaw to host International Art Fair

An International Art Fair will be organised in the capital city of Poland in April 2016, the first ever such event.

Warsaw will host the IAF, an international contemporary art fair, which gathers artists, fashion and industrial designers, and other parties interested in art, fashion and design.
“The event will provide an opportunity to gain knowledge of the contemporary art from different parts of the world,” Beata Roszkowska, the Director of International Art Fair Warsaw told Polish Radio.
During the four day-event, visitors will be able to admire and purchase art works and take part in lectures and workshops as well as meet representatives of the international art scene. Artists from different countries, including Austria, Belarus, UK, Romania, Switzerland and Ukraine, will show their work.
The fair will see participation of dozens of exhibitors from various countries, including galleries from China, Germany, and Turkey, among others.
IAF Warsaw will take place at the National Stadium in Warsaw, on 7-11 April 2016.
Tickets will be sold from January 2016. (ał/rg)
