Jerzy Owsiak, head of the organizers of the concert, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, said goodbye to festival-goers at 3am on Sunday morning.

On Saturday, the last day of the festival, which started on Thursday, performers on the main stage included Nocny Kochanek, DUB Inc., Nothing But Thieves, The Qemists and Frank Turner with The Sleeping Souls.

According to police estimates from Saturday, about 220,000 people participated in the festival.

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity organizes the festival free of charge as a thank you to the volunteers and people supporting its fundraising campaign, taking place each year in January, which this year helped collect PLN 105 million for hospital equipment.

The Przystanek Woodstock festival first took place in 1995 and has been held in Kostrzyn nad Odrą every year since 2004. (mol/pk)
