Polish Radio has signed a memorandum of cooperation with China National Radio (CNR), a team-up that aims to strengthen contacts between the two broadcasters.

The agreement, the latest in a series of deals between Polish and Chinese media, was signed on Wednesday as representatives of China National Radio paid a return visit to Poland.

At the end of July, a Polish Radio delegation led by Vice President Mariusz Staniszewski visited CNR's headquarters in China.

This is not the first memorandum between Polish Radio and a Chinese broadcaster. In July, Polish Radio approved agreements with the Shanghai Media Group (SMG) and Sichuan Radio and Televison (SRT).

Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Beata Szydło have both visited China to boost ties and drum up business. (gs/pk)
