As part of the project, researchers aim to develop a genomic model that will be used for scientific, medical and commercial purposes, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Genome mapping is a type of genetic research that helps doctors diagnose and treat diseases such as cancer through treatment tailored to an individual patient.
The PLN 105 million (EUR 24.4 million, USD 27.9 million) project will be carried out by a consortium of Polish research institutions using funds from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
