The ceremony was also attended by President Andrzej Duda’s wife Agata and members of the Jewish community in Poland.
Duda said that Poles and Jews have over a thousand years of common history with both "beautiful and difficult" moments.
He added that Jewish culture had shaped Polish culture and traditions over the years.
Hanukkah is observed for eight nights and days. This year it ends on Monday evening.
Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, commemorates the 2nd century BCE victory of Judah Maccabee and his followers in a revolt in ancient Judea against the armies of the Seleucid Empire.
