Finance crisis central theme of Krynica Economic Forum

Lech Walesa is the special guest at the 22nd Krynica Economic Forum, which begins Tuesday, under the slogan 'New Visions for Hard Times'.

The forum, sometimes referred to as the 'Davos of the East', will be opened by Polish president Bronislaw Komorowski and will host 2,500 delegates from Europe, Asia and the USA.
The plenary session this afternoon will be devoted to the eurozone finance crisis, and will be attended by EU budget commissioner Janusz Lewandowski, Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokov and Hungary's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration and Justice Tibor Navracsics.
There will be six plenary sessions and 100 debates at the forum, which lasts till 6 September. (pg)
