In spite of industry hype about smartphones' state of the art novelties, 30 percent of Polish users stick to making calls and sending text messages, a study has found.

The survey by Deloitte investigated user habits of smartphone-owners in fifteen countries across the world.

Overall, it found that 20 percent of users are only using the devices to send text messages and make calls.

The lure of the internet and games such as Monster Shooter has failed to win over a fifth of users yet.

However, Poland's Puls Biznesu daily muses that fear of colossal bills may explain why some users have yet to surf the net with their smartphones.

According to Deloitte, up to 60 percent of users reported receiving more expensive bills than they had expected. (nh)
