“The digital revolution is preparing us for our next step, hybrid television,” Boni told public television channel TVP Info.
Hybrid television harmonises broadcast and broadband internet delivery of material, through a single user interface.
Boni added that he hopes that TVP itself will be active in providing more online content.
“I would like important matters in public debate to be online in programmes that are available to the public, for example on TVP Stream,” he said.
Meanwhile, Poland's switch from analogue to digital television is continuing today, with a new wave that will encompass close to 5 million people.
“The new quality is making an impression on people,” Boni said.
The final wave will be carried out on 23 July. (nh)
