The summit, attended by Spanish prime minister Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and a large delegation from Poland, taking place at the Palacio de la Moncloa, will discuss youth unemployment, which in Spain has reached over 60 percent, according to data released in July by Eurostat.
Spain intends to increase investment in Poland, as announced during the bilateral summit in Warsaw last year.
Meanwhile, Spain's opposition has called for PM Rajoy to resign after the El Mundo newspaper published alleged secret accounting documents that showing he had received illegal cash payments from the treasurer of his People's Party (PP), Luis Barcenas, while serving in a previous government.
"It is untenable for the prime minister to remain in office a moment longer," Socialist leader Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba is quoted by the Reuters news agency as saying on Sunday. (pg)
