Poles opting for tablet computers

In 2013 sales of portable tablet computers are to rise by 2.5 percent year on year, new figures from the GfK Polonia agency show.

More than 1 million units are expected to be sold this year, with Poles deciding to become more mobile and opting to purchase more tablets than laptops this year.
As a result, laptop sales are to drop an estimated 3.5 percent in 2013. Tablet sales overtook laptop purchases for the first time in May this year.
According to IDC, Lenovo holds the lead in tablet sales, with an estimated 22.8 percent of the domestic market share. (jb)
