“The cooperation’s aim is to undertake development projects on real estate belonging to PKP SA and Poczta Polska SA,” a statement from PKP reads, adding that “the companies endeavour to increase the potential of the real estate and its effective use”.

The real estate in question concerns land incorporating the Warszawa Główna and train station, by the capital’s Chmielna street, as well the Międzytorze district of the Baltic city of Gdynia. All three investments are to set to kick off in 2017-18.

“In undertaking cooperation with Poczta Polska, we will be able to make use of our experience in undertaking developments with various investments,” PKP board member Jarosław Bator is quoted as saying.

PKP has experience in running 16 such projects with a combined value of EUR 4.66 billion. (jb)
