No candidate chosen to be new head of ZUS

The Labour Ministry has announced that the recruitment process for finding a new director for the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has ended without and appointment.
It had previously been reported that there was only one candidate out of 14 left in the running to head the state institution currently responsible for most pension payments.
Dr Katarzyna Kalata was the highest scoring of the candidates in a test that formed part of the application process and became the only candidate to pass through to the final round of the recruitment contest.
However the Ministry announced Tuesday that she has not be chosen.
The Ministry also announced that Elżbieta Łopacińska, a member of ZUS’s management, will continue to be acting director of the institution. (sl/rg)
