Since March, the figure had decreased by 5.4 percent.
Measured in Polish złoty, exports amounted to PLN 58.312 billion – around 7.8 percent less than in March, but increased by 4.6 percent year on year, the Export Credit Insurance Corporation (KUKE) wrote in a statement.
“The April decline in turnover is typical. Following a weak start of the year, and a typical boost in March, sales in April are markedly reduced,” KUKE said on Monday.
However, export growth in March was better than that observed in previous years. “As a result, the April correction may prove to be somewhat deeper than usual,” KUKE wrote in the report. (rg)
