Hoteliers' debts double in three years

Just under 1,100 registered accommodation facilities have registered so far at the National Debt Register (KRD) in 2015.

The aggregate debt in the sector exceeds PLN 31.6 million (about EUR 7.5 million), data from the KRD shows.
KRD data show that over the last three years the number of indebted accommodation facilities has more than doubled. In 2012, 501 had such problems.
According to the data, financial firms are aiming to recover from hoteliers more than PLN 11.4 million, while trading companies are owed PLN 3.64 million, industrial companies about PLN 2.5 million and construction firms PLN 2.03 million.
"The average debt of accommodation facilities listed on the National Register is PLN 28,960, KRD president Adam Lacki said. (jh)
