Poles shortchange employers of 33 hours a year: report

The average Polish employee spends 33 hours less on his job than he should every year because of being late for work or leaving early, a study has claimed.

In small and medium-sized enterprises, such practices translate into PLN 880 million losses for employers, according to research by the Unicard company, which produces electronic clocking-in systems.
"Employees being late and leaving early are costs we are not aware of. However, research on working hours over the course of a year shows this can cause huge losses," said Tomasz Bednarski, CEO of Unicard. (pk)
