The car, called the Hussarya GT, comes with a seven-litre 505-horsepower V8 engine. It has a carbon fibre body, weighs 1,250kg and “could compete with Ferraris and Lamborghinis on race tracks around the world”, the development ministry said.
According to Arrinera, the car costs USD 229,000 (PLN 960,000, EUR 216,000).
A road-legal car is "coming soon", the company said on its website.
“The Hussarya by Arrinera is an example of a Polish race car which can compete with the most renowned and experienced marques,” said Mateusz Morawiecki, Poland’s development minister and deputy prime minister.
“It is also a unique calling card for Polish technology and Polish exports,” he added.
The car’s name refers to the Polish Hussar cavalry, an elite branch of Poland’s cavalry in the 16th to 18th centuries. (vb/pk)
