The flights take place once a week. The journey takes about nine hours and is the shortest connection from the southern Małopolska region of Poland to the United States.
This is the ninth long-range route offered by state-owned LOT, the sixth to North America and the fifth to the US.
The new connection is operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and offers passengers a choice between Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class seats.
The maiden flight to Chicago took off on Monday.
