A European Radio Forum is underway in the southwestern Polish city of Wrocław to consider modern technologies and new methods of distributing radio.

Mariusz Staniszewski, a member of the board for Polish Radio, said media was becoming hybrid and that radio needed to use new tools, including social media, to reach listeners.
Staniszewski said Polish Radio had a team interacting with social media users in real time.
He added that social media and Big Data meant that users could be profiled and programming tailored to address their individual preferences. (vb)
