The meeting between Poland’s head of government Beata Szydło and her Albanian counterpart Edi Rama will take place in the Polish capital on Wednesday during the Poland-Albania Business Forum, an event focusing on opportunities for closer trade and investment ties between the two countries, according to Poland's National Chamber of Commerce (KIG).
Albania’s Rama is expected to come to Poland with a group of several dozen businessmen in tow, representing sectors such as agriculture, food processing, tourism, animal husbandry and textiles.
In addition to discussing opportunities for trade and investment between Poland and Albania, the forum aims to showcase the strengths of both countries as well as Albania’s potential as an attractive investment destination for Polish companies, according to organisers.
The forum includes panel discussions on business opportunities available for Polish companies in Albania, in sectors such as hydroelectric power, infrastructure, mining, agriculture, agri-food processing, trade and tourism.
The event will be held at the Warsaw headquarters of the National Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Polish Ministry of Development and Albania’s honorary consul in Poland, organisers said.
