Poland falls one notch in Global Innovation Index

Poland has fallen one notch to 39th place in an annual innovation ranking.

China, meanwhile, has for the first time made it into the 20 most innovative economies in the world, ranked 17th in the Global Innovation Index.
Switzerland was ranked no. 1 in the index, followed by the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Singapore.
The United States has fallen out of the top five and is ranked sixth.
The Global Innovation Index is published by America’s Cornell University, the INSEAD graduate business school, and the United Nations’ World Intellectual Property Organization.
