Some 24 million tonnes of cereals are expected to be harvested, 14 percent less than last year, GUS said.
There will also be eight percent fewer root vegetables this season, with 4.2 million tonnes expected, the statistical office added.
Meanwhile, a record amount of fruit will be collected, with some 4.2 million tonnes forecast, over 50 percent more than last year, GUS said.
There will also be 25 percent more berries than last year, according to GUS estimates.
GUS said the overall expected decrease in plant production was due to unusually high temperatures and low rainfall in May and June. (vb/pk)
