Senior politicians, parliamentarians, business executives and culture leaders were among the over 4,000 guests who were expected to attend the annual Krynica Economic Forum, which is billed as the largest conference of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe and is sometimes referred to as the "Polish Davos.”
The conference, which runs from Tuesday to Thursday, includes 180 panel discussions and dozens of lectures, workshops and other events focusing on some of the most pressing problems in Central and Eastern Europe, Poland’s PAP news agency has reported.
In addition to political and economic issues, participants are expected to debate health, innovation, security and culture during the three-day conference, which seeks answers to the question: “A Europe of Common Values or a Europe of Common Interests?”
This year’s Krynica Economic Forum is being held for the 28th time.
