The aim is to make income taxes simpler and more transparent, Deputy Finance Minister Filip Świtała told public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.
The new system will have separate regulations for taxpayers who derive their income exclusively from employment and those who report business income, Świtała said.
He added that the finance ministry had no plans at this stage for any changes to the existing income tax brackets and rates.
The planned reform will undergo extensive consultations and be put to a public debate that is expected to last at least until the middle of next year, Świtała said, as quoted by the IAR news agency.
