Polish goods imports outdo exports in 2018: stats office

Poland exported EUR 221 billion worth of goods last year, while importing EUR 226.1 billion worth of goods, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) has reported.

The resulting trade deficit was EUR 5.1 billion, the statistical office said.
Poland’s goods exports increased by 7 percent in euro terms last year from 2017, while imports grew by 9.7 percent, according to the office.
Germany remained Poland’s largest partner in the trade of goods in 2018, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
