The reading was higher than forecast by analysts, who had been expecting an increase of 3.5 to 3.9 percent, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Experts at Poland’s ministry of entrepreneurship and technology expect industrial production to exceed 5 percent in February, according to IAR.
Industrial production grew 2.8 percent in December year on year, Poland’s statistical office said last month.
