Inflation in Poland stood at 2.3 percent in year-on-year terms in May, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Tuesday in a flash estimate.

The reading was in line with a consensus forecast of economists polled by Poland’s PAP news agency.
In April, the prices of consumer goods and services in Poland were 2.2 percent higher than in the same month a year earlier, according to the Central Statistical Office.
The statistics office earlier this year said it had revised its system of weights used for calculating the consumer price index in 2019.
