The figure marked the lowest jobless rate in Poland in 28 years, Deputy Labour and Social Policy Minister Stanisław Szwed told reporters.
The state-run Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported last month that Poland’s unemployment rate dropped to 5.4 percent in May, from 5.6 percent in April.
That reading was in line with an earlier estimate by the country’s labour minister.
Poland's unemployment rate is expected to fall to 5.1 percent at the end of 2020 under a set of budget targets adopted by the government last month.
