No Polish victims reported in Munich shooting

Data acquired by the Polish foreign ministry show that there were no Polish victims among those killed in Friday's shooting in the German city of Munich, ministry spokesperson Rafał Sobczak said on Saturday.

“The information was provided to us by German police,” Sobczak added.
Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski expressed his "condolences to the German authorities and sympathy to those who lost their loved ones," in an interview with private broadcaster TVN24.
A lone gunman killed nine people and wounded a further 16 in the Bavarian city of Munich, before shooting himself, local police said on Saturday.
He first opened fire in a local McDonald’s restaurant, before running to a nearby shopping mall.
The attacker was a 18-yeard old German of Iranian descent, German police have said.
Despite earlier reports of three shooters, he acted alone, yet his motives are unclear.
Many young people are among the casualties.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel is to convene an emergency meeting of senior state officials responsible for security issues. (ał)
