Polish PM conveys condolences following Munich shooting

Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło has offered her condolences to German Chancellor Angela Merkel following Friday's shooting in Munich, which left at least 10 people dead, including the suspect.

“With great regret I learned of the attack, which happened in Munich. We strongly condemn violence against innocent people. We are with the Germans in these difficult times,” the Polish PM wrote in a condolence letter to Merkel.
“We share the grief of the victims’ families,” Szydło said.
Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski expressed his condolences to the German authorities and families of the victims, in an interview with private broadcaster TVN24.
A 18-year-old gunman killed nine people in the southern German city of Munich on Friday evening, before shooting himself, German police said on Saturday.
No Poles were among those killed or wounded in the attack, the foreign ministry said. (ał/pk)
