The annual Catholic Publishers Trade Show, which opened in the Polish capital on Thursday, is now in its 24th year. It includes events such as meetings with writers and panel discussions, in addition to book launches.
Fr. Roman Szpakowski, head of Poland's Association of Catholic Publishers, said that the kinds of publications featured in the show were attracting a lot of interest among the public.
About 93 percent of Poles declare themselves to be Catholics, according to Fr. Wojciech Sadłoń, head of Poland's Catholic Church Statistics Institute.
Polish Radio is a media partner of the trade show, which runs until Sunday at Warsaw's Royal Castle.
