Radwanska, ranked number 4 in the world by the WTA, is having a good run-up to the Australian Open, the first grand slam of the 2013 season which begins on 14 January, after she won the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand last week.

"I think this year is the first time that I played two tournaments before [the Australian Open]. I never did that before. So far it's good and I'm going to keep going," the 23 year-old from Krakow said after the quarter final in Sydney.

Radwanska became the first Pole to reach a grand slam final in the modern era last year when she reached the final of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships, where she lost to Serena Williams. (pg)
