Majewski beat women's silver medalist in the hammer throw at the London Olympics, Anita Wlodarczyk, into second place, and last year's winner, bronze medalist windsurfer Zofia Klepacka-Noceti into third.
Wheelchair fencer Dariusz Pender, who won a gold medal at the Paralympic Games in London, was declared Best Disabled Athlete of the Year.
The winners are decided by an annual poll organised by the Przegląd Sportowy sports daily and TVP public television. (pg)
