Daredevils compete for Off-Road Cup

The 14th edition of the Off-Road pl Polish Cup is under way in Nowa Deba, south east Poland.

42 crews are taking part in Poland's oldest off-road event for 4x4s, with contestants braving five stages of tricky terrain.

The event is divided into two categories, 'Adventure' and 'Extreme', with the latter designed for only the most experienced drivers.
Contestants in the tougher category are required to fit their vehicles out with a cage and a winch, the necessity of which was made clear within minutes of the race beginning on Friday.
The fifth and final stage starts on Saturday night, and contestants that endure the race are due to cross the finishing line in the early hours of Sunday morning. The mud-spattered winners will be presented with their awards at 9 am. (nh)
