Polish President Andrzej Duda awarded the men the honours on Monday at a New Year's gala in Warsaw.
Duda said 2016 was a good year for Polish sport, with Poles bringing home 11 Olympic and 39 Paralympic medals from Rio de Janeiro.
He also said that 2017 had a positive outlook, with Polish ski jumpers already making history at the Four Hills Tournament, which Kamil Stoch won on Friday.
The New Year's gala is an annual Olympic Family event, attended by former and current sport people as well as activists, medics and sponsors. (vb/pk)
